Bio

Coach Haralson is entering his 3rd season at the helm of the men's basketball program at Schoolcraft College.

 

Following his first year's record of 2-22, in his first full offseason cycle, Haralson and the Ocelots improved their record to 14-15, including a berth into the Great Lakes District C Tournament. 

 

Prior to being named the Head Coach at Schoolcraft, Haralson spent 19 years, serving various roles, including Interim Head Coach, at Wayne State University. Prior to Wayne State, Haralson was a coach at Finney High School for 4 years, spending the first 2 as an assistant and the last 2 as the head coach. As head coach, Finney won the first Public School League title in school history to go along with a district and regional championship. In the 2002-03 season, Haralson was named the Detroit Public School League Coach of the Year and was awarded the FHS Outstanding Achievement Award. He had 5 seniors move on to play collegiate basketball.

 

Haralson began his college playing career at Mott Community College where he was a NJCAA All-American and MVP of Region XII. After his 2 season at Mott, Haralson moved on to play 2 season at the University of Detroit Mercy. He was named the team's top newcomer in 1997 and served as a co-captain his senior year. He finished his college career helping the Titans reach their first NCAA Tournament in nearly 20 years and advanced to the 2nd round after defeating St. Johns University.
