Ocelots Suffer First Defeat to Jackson

The Ocelots women's basketball team suffered their first defeat against Jackson College. Schoolcraft's comeback effort fell short as they ultimately lost by a score of 76-68. With 2:30 remaining in the third quarter, Schoolcraft trailed 50-26 before they closed out the third quarter with a 15-6 run to enter the third quarter down 15. Schoolcraft got as close as 7 in the fourth quarter but couldn't break past that number. #11 Hunter Conway led the Ocelots with 29 points, including 13-14 from the free throw line. #12 Ruby Garner and #24 Makaiya Thomas joined Conway in double figures, going 15 and 10 points respectfully. Schoolcraft looks to get back in the win column on Saturday, February 4, 2023 when they host St. Clair County Community College with tip-off at 1:00PM. Saturday's game will be the PinkZone game in support of the Kay Now foundation with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the WBCA PinkZone and Breat Cancer Research.
