Schoolcraft Moves to 3-1 After Low Scoring Affair

DOWAGIAC, MI – The Ocelots made the trip to the west side of the state to face off against a Roadrunners team who was receiving votes in the most recent NJCAA poll.

Schoolcraft would come out looking to tack a big win onto their record. In the 1st half, Schoolcraft would have a lead as big as 9 but would only lead 1 by going into the half as Southwestern Michigan would make a push to close the game.

Things would remain even throughout the 2nd half without any team really taking control of the game. Coming down to the last minute of play, the Roadrunners would lead by 1 until the Ocelots would score the last 6 points of the game to come away with a 5-point victory.

Booker Washington would lead the Ocelots in the scorebook with 13 points while also corralling 7 rebounds and 3 assists. The only other Ocelot in double-figures was Marshall Thorn who would have 10 points and come up 1 rebound short of a double-double.

Schoolcraft has some time off until they return to the court at home to host the 15th ranked team in the country, Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The Ocelots and Cougars tip-off around 7:30 PM.
