Schoolcraft Improves to 6-4 with 18-Point Win

LIVONIA, MI – The Ocelots came into Saturday looking for their 2^nd win in a row while playing host to Community Christian College.

Offense would come to each team slowly to begin the game as 5 minutes into the half, the score would only read 7-4 in favor of Schoolcraft. Over the next 5 minutes, schoolcraft would outscore the Lions 11-1 to gain a 18-5 lead over Community Christian. Schoolcraft's lead in the 1^st half would reach as much as 24 as they led 41-17 with 1:09 left in the half after a Rael Cochran 3 pointer. With a 41-21 lead at the half, Schoolcraft was led by Booker Washington with 8 points with Kechan Johnson and J'Vohn Walker right behind him with 7 of their own.

Over the first 9 minutes of the 2^nd half, Community Christian would go on a 22-4 run to bring the game within 2 points before Schoolcraft would find its offense again. Schoolcraft would slowly begin to increase their lead again as when J'Vohn Walker would sink 2 free throws with 3:42 left, the Ocelot lead wouldn't get under 10 again. The Ocelots would close out an 84-66 win to earn their 6^th win of the year and improve to 6-4.

Walker would lead the team with 20 points while Johnson (14), Cochran (17) and Washington (10) would join him in double figures.

Schoolcraft hits the floor again on Wednesday hosting Region 12 opponent, Edison State. Tip-off is slated for 7:30PM.
