Big 2nd Half Propels Ocelots over Bears

FLINT, MI – Schoolcraft looked to make it 2 wins in a row and avenge a loss earlier in the season against Mott.

Throughout the game, things would prove to be back and forth. In the 1^st half, Mott would shoot 47.8% from the field compared to Schoolcraft's 34.2%, leading to a 34-30 Mott lead at the half. Kechan Johnson, Marshall Thorn and Kaden Huston would all have 6 points, leading the team for the 1^st half.

Things would turn in the 2^nd half for Schoolcraft. The Ocelots would shoot 42.9% from behind the arc and 90% from the free throw line on their way to 36 2^nd half points. On the defensive end, Schoolcraft would register 5 steals and 3 blocks while winning the turnover battle for the 2^nd half. Outscoring Mott 36-27 for the 2^nd half, Schoolcraft would turn their 4-point halftime deficit to a 5-point victory.

J'Vohn Walker and Andrew Kimbrough would tie for the team lead with 14 points while Marshall Thorn would log 12 points while grabbing 13 rebounds.
