Schoolcraft Notches A Regional Win

LIVONIA, MI – The Ocelots men's soccer team hosted the Lakers from Lakeland Community College in a Region 12 matchup.

For the first 30 minutes, it was a defensive show from the Lakers. For the entire 1^st half, the Ocelots would post 11 shots but would not capitalize until the 33^rd minute when Kevaughn Harris would get the Ocelots on the board. Just a minute later, Lakeland would tie the game at 1 but 9 minutes later, Schoolcraft would score twice in 1 minute (Khaled Souza and Daniel Patino) to take a 3-1 lead at the half.

The defense would stand tall in the 2^nd half for Schoolcraft, allowing just 1 Lakeland shot. The Ocelots would muster 9 more shots, outshooting Lakeland 20-3 for the whole game, while scoring 2 more times in the 2^nd half. In the 74^th minute, Adechina Moussedikou would score with help from Adriano Shauya and in the 86^th minute, Caetano Amaral would net the 5^th goal with help from Finn Stafford.

Vedad Vila got the start in net, allowing 1 goal on 1 shot.

The Ocelots have a week and a half break as they are not back on the pitch until September 25, traveling to Marian University's Ancilla College in another regional showdown.
