Ocelots Move To 5-0-1 in Conference With Road Win

GRAND RAPIDS, Mi – The Ocelots hit the road to finish off MCCAA play for the 2024 season facing off the Raiders from Grand Rapids looking to finish conference play undefeated.

Schoolcraft would come out of the opening kickoff looking to show its force. For the 1st half, the Ocelots would post 10 shots with 5 being stopped by the Grand Rapids keeper. However, the Raider keeper would be unable to stop 3 shots. In the 17th minute, Adriano Shauya would put away the game winning goal with an assist from Ziad Barakat. In the 35th minute, the 2 would switch places on the scoresheet as Barakat would give cushion to the Ocelot lead with help from Shauya. Before the 1st half would end, Adechina Moussedikou would score his 4th goal of the season to give Schoolcraft a 3-0 lead going into halftime. Schoolcraft would concede 7 shots in the 1st half with Alexander Heitsch only having to make 1 save.

In the 2nd half, Schoolcraft would only log 5 shots, unable to put 1 past the keeper.

In the net for the Ocelots, Alexander Heitsch would get his 10th start in net, earning his 7th win while playing only 55 minutes. The remaining 35 minutes would be given to Vedad Vila who would make 2 saves during his time in net.

Schoolcraft returns to the field on Tuesday, October 22nd, playing host to Mineral Area College in a top 20 matchup.
