DEARBORN, MI – The Ocelots made the short drive to Henry Ford for an MCCAA doubleheader.
Game 1- Sydney Scoggins paced the offense for Schoolcraft as she logged 3 hits as well as blasting a big home run in extra innings. After jumping out to a 4-1 lad after 3 innings, things would stay around that differential before Henry Ford scored 3 in the bottom of the 7th to take things into extra innings. In the extra inning, on top of the home run from Scoggins, Hailey McCleary tacked on 2 runs with a single.
Kaitlyn Solberg earned the win in the circle as the freshman logged all 8 innings while striking out 10 batters.
Game 2- In a rather quiet offensive game, the Ocelots would score twice in 2 separate innings on their way to a 4-3 victory. A McCleary home run in the 2nd inning for the Ocelots on the board early in the game. 2 innings later, Kaelyn Rozycki would plate a run on a sac fly and the winning run would come home on a wild pitch.
Riley O'Connell got the start and win in the circle, going all 7 innings while only allowing 1 earned run.
Schoolcraft returns to the diamond on Saturday as they play host to Oakland Community College.
