Base-Running Mishaps Halt Ocelots 7th Inning Comeback
MARYSVILLE, MI – Kicking off the Great Lakes Region District A tournament, the Ocelots faced off against the Lakers from Mid-Michigan College.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Mid-Michigan would jump out to an early 5-0 lead after 2 innings.
- In the top of the 3rd, Schoolcraft would begin a slight comeback by scoring 2 runs in the inning.
- Thanks to an error and a fielder's choice, Schoolcraft would crawl back to within 1 run in the top of the 5th.
- After a 2-run single in the bottom of the 6th from the Lakers, the Ocelots would need to score 3 runs in the top of the 7th to stay alive.
- On a Kaelyn Rozycki fly ball with the bases loaded and 0 outs, a baserunning mishap would see Schoolcraft fly into a double play, without scoring a run.
- Back-to-back singles from Jordyn Emery and Hailey McCleary would being Schoolcraft to within 1 run with runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs.
- Madison Gray would hit a single into left field, but the Ocelot runner would get caught in between 3rd and home to be tagged out and to end the game.
