Jessica Clyde Scores Hat-Trick in 4-0 Win

LIVONIA, MI – The Ocelots hosted a regional foe in Grand Rapids Community College in what was counted as a non-league match.

Schoolcraft would get rolling from the first touch, showing why they are the 9^th ranked team in the country. Posting 9 shots in the 1^st half, the Ocelots would capitalize on 2 of those shots, both from Jessica Clyde in the 20^th and 34^th minute. Grand Rapids would muster 2 shots, forcing Kate Shippe to make 1 save.

Schoolcraft would turn it up more in the 2^nd half. The Ocelots would total 15 shots, with 9 on target, and score 2 more goals in the half. Clyde would finish up her hat-trick in the 59^th minute while Brynn Riley would add 1 more in the 74^th minute.

Ashley Hughes, in her first game of the season, would tally 3 assists while Lizzy Kirkey, Trista Bird and Kaiyah Gromadzki would each have 1. Kate Shippe got the start in the net playing 80 minutes and making 1 save. Ava Martin would come on to play the last 10 minutes in goal.

The Ocelots return to the pitch on Sunday, September 15, to host Lakeland Community College. Kick-off is slated for 2:00 PM or 15 minutes after the men's match.
