LIVONIA, MI – The Ocelots played host to a familiar MCCAA for in St. Clair County Community College for a 5:00 PM kick-off in Schoolcraft's annual tailgate game.
Schoolcraft would come out of the gates firing and looking to get ahead early on the scoreboard. However, the Skippers defense and goalkeeper would be up for the challenge. Schoolcraft would post 9 shots in the 1st half, forcing the St. Clair keeper to make 3 saves. The Ocelots would finally breakthrough in the 43rd minute when Ashley Hughes would beat the keeper in the lower right quadrant.
Being up 1-0 at the half, Schoolcraft would not be satisfied. It would not take nearly as long in the 2nd half for the Ocelots to score as Victoria Kebbe would score just 8 minutes into the 2nd half to double the Schoolcraft lead. St. Clair would make a push in the 59th minute as they would get one past Kate Shippe, but Jessica Clyde would not let the lead be 1 for too long.
