Soccer Teams Are Arizona Bound

LIVONIA, Mi- Both Schoolcraft College soccer teams were selected to take part in the 2023 NJCAA D2 National Tournament.

The men's soccer team had a very uneventful selection show planned. With the Ocelots winning the Northeast district championship, they received an automatic bid into the National Tournament. The selection show for them was to figure out who and when they would be playing. The Ocelots received the six seed in the tournament. Schoolcraft is slated to face off against Heartland Community College (IL) at 5:00PM EST on Monday (November 13). The following day, November 14, Schoolcraft will face off against CCBC Essex (MD) at 5:00PM EST. Following those two games, the winner of the pool will move on to the semifinal game.

The women's selection show would prove to be a lot more nerve racking. With the Ocelots falling in the regional final, their hopes shifted to obtaining an at-large bid into the tournament. When it came down to the final spot in the tournament, the final at-large bid, it would be Schoolcraft College that would appear. The Ocelots earned the nine seed in the tournament, and they are set to square off against Northeast Community College (NE), who they opened the season against, on Sunday, November 12, at 7:30PM EST. Following that, on Monday, November 13, Schoolcraft will play Jones College (MS) at 7:30PM EST. Like the men's tournament, the winner of the pool will advance to the semifinal game.

Good luck, Ocelots!
