Schoolcraft Cruises to 4-0

Myrtle Beach, SC- Schoolcraft baseball cruised to a 10-0 victory to reach the 4-0 mark on the young season. Once again for the Ocelots, pitching was dominant throughout the entire game. On the young season, everything has been clicking for the team and that did not stop tonight. Even though the game got delayed a little to start, Schoolcraft made sure to end it early as they knocked off the Coastal Carolina Club team 10-0 with the 10 run rule coming into effect in the fifth inning.

Schoolcraft got off to a hot start on the game, #23 Jon Sabuda cruised through the top of the first inning and the Ocelots quickly got to work in the bottom half. #19 Arturo Delgado led the inning off with a walk and #24 Andrew Thorning stayed hot on the young season with his first triple of the game. Thorning ended up going 2-3 with 2 RBI's, both of his hits would end up being triples. Delgado would wind up being thrown out at the plate on the Thorning triple but, #28 Mason Malysz wouldn't let Thorning be stranded as he cashed him in with an RBI single. Malysz ended up 1-3 on the night with 2 RBI's. After one inning, Schoolcraft was leading 1-0. The first inning was relective of how Sabuda's night went, cruising. The only Coastal threat would come in the third inning with a two out triple however, Sabuda would get the next batter to pop up to end the threat. Sabuda's final line was, 5 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 1 K and wound up getting his first win of the year. 8 out of the 9 starting Ocelots found the hit column on the night, however, #50 Bryan Tuttle, who went 0-2, wound up with 2 RBI's and 1 BB. Putting the ball in play was the key for the Ocelots, only striking out one time for the game. #16 Bryce Schwab found the hit column in his first collegiate start, being the backstop for Sabuda the whole night.

Schoolcraft returns to the diamond on March 1, when they face off against Cabrini University, again, at 11AM at Griffith Field. Following the first game, the Ocelots will face off against the post-grad team, Scoutz USA, at the Polo Grounds. Follow the live stats here at, schoolcraftocelots.com.
