Ocelots Drop Both Ends Of Double-Header

CHATTANOOGA, TN – The Ocelots baseball team hit the road this weekend for a 4-game series with Chattanooga State Community College. The Tigers came into the series with a 12-3 record while the Ocelots record at the start was 0-1.

Game 1-

Things would get going early for the Ocelots as the top of the 1^st inning would begin with a Ben Cannon leadoff single. Coming up after Cannon would be Issander Vega who would get hit by a pitch and Schoolcraft would find themselves with runners on 1^st and 2^nd with no outs to begin the game. The threat would take a hit as Schoolcraft's next 2 hitters would ground into a double play and have a strikeout. Chattanooga State would put up all 12 runs in the first 3 innings of the game to wind up with a 12-0 victory in 5 innings. Joining Cannon with hits would be Owen Elsey and Bryan Tuttle.

Game 2-

Game 2 would see much of the same result as the first game, just without any offense by the Ocelots. Schoolcraft would fail to get a hit in the game and the only 2 baserunners for Schoolcraft would come by errors. Schoolcraft would fall by a score of 12-0 in 5 innings, again.

The 2 teams will meet again tomorrow, February 24, to close off their 4-game set with a double-header beginning at 12PM. A livestream for the games can be found on Chattanooga State Baseball's YouTube channel.
