Hawks pull away in second half

Schoolcraft College was defeated by Henry Ford College by a score of 95-84. The Ocelots took it to the #3 ranked Hawks early in the contest, with Schoolcraft jumping out to a 14-7 lead 4 minutes into the game. Schoolcraft would have the lead until 14 minutes to play in the first half when Henry Ford would get an and one free throw to take the lead. The rest of the first half was back and fourth action with the Ocelots and Hawks trading blows. Henry Ford would end the first half on a 9-4 run to close out the first half with the Ocelots trailing 51-46. The second half was much of the same, back and fourth blows. Henry Ford ended up outscoring the Ocelots, 44-38, in the second half to close the game out. 

Three Ocelots were in double figures for the contest. #0 Ross Stofflet, #23 Avery Ismail, and #12 Ashton Henderson posted 18, 13 and 13 respectively. To go along with his team leading 18 points, Stofflet also led Schoolcraft in rebounds with 7. #1 Keon Henderson shared the ball at will with his team high 6 assists for the contest. Keon also added 9 points by his name. Ashton Henderson played big minutes off of the bench, 27 minutes, and provided a shooting spark, making 3 out his 4 three pointers. 

The next scheuduled game for the Ocelots is Tuesday, February 28,2023 when they travel to St. Clair County to take on the #15 ranked Skippers. Tip-off for that game will be at 7:30 PM. The Ocelots and Skippers game will also be broadcasted all over the country on ESPN+.
