Ocelots Suffer Another Close Defeat at KVCC

KALAMAZOO, Mi- The 2023-24 Schoolcraft men's basketball team looked to get in the win column as they traveled to Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Kalamazoo would get off to a fast start in the first half of the game. At the break, it would be Kalamazoo winning by a score of 46-32. The second half would see some fighting out of the Ocelots. The leader in the  offense for the game would be Ashton Henderson. Henderson would score 27 points with going 12/22 from the field and 3/9 from deep. Other Ocelots in double figures would be Machki Jackson (11) and Daniel Lee (15). Amare Stevens, Makell Johnson-Dobbs, Marshall Thorn and Keon Henderson would all chip in points as well. Outscoring the Cougars 41-29 in the second half would fall just short of what was needed as the Ocelots swallowed another close loss. Schoolcraft has lost their last 2 games by a combined 3 points.

The Ocelots look to get into the win column on Thursday, November 16, when they play host to Great Lakes Christian. Tip-off is slated for 7:30PM in the Ocelot Gymnasium.
