Schoolcraft Earns 3rd Win In A Row

PIQUA, OH- The Schoolcraft men's basketball team hit the road on Tuesday looking to extend their winning streak to 3 games against the Chargers from Edison State.

 Things got going early for the Ocelots on both ends of the floor. In the first half, Schoolcraft would outscore the Chargers by a total of 38-29. This would mark back-to-back games in which the Ocelots have held their opponent under 30 points in the 1st half. Schoolcraft only gave up 27 points in the 1st half to Alpena on December 16. The defense would stay about the same in the 2nd half for Schoolcraft. Edison State would score 1 more point in the half for their 2nd half total to be 30. The Ocelots were still able to outscore the Chargers in the 2nd half by putting up 33 points. After 40 minutes of play, Schoolcraft would come out victorious for their 3rd victory in a row by a score of 71-59.

Leading the way for Schoolcraft was Mackhi Jackson. Jackson scored 21 points on 8-16 from the field including 2-6 from behind the arc. This was the 3rd game this season where Jackson would lead the team in points. Daniel Lee (14) and Ashton Henderson (10) would be the other Ocelots to reach the double figures mark. Lee has now reached the double figures mark in 6 straight games. Jackson and Lee would tie for the team lead in assists with 4. Lee and Ashton Henderson would tie for the team lead in rebound with 10 and making both players reach the double-double mark.

Schoolcraft is back in action on a quick turnaround as the host Cuyahoga Community College, who received votes in the last poll, tomorrow, December 20, at 7:30PM.
