Men's Soccer Pushes Record to 7-2-0 with 10-0 Victory

LIVONIA, Mi- The Schoolcraft men's soccer team pushed their record to 7-2 after a 10-0 win over Lake Michigan College.

Goals would come early and often for the Ocelots. Gavin LaMere got the scoring started in the fifth minute with help from Dominic Maisano and Tommy Mittelstadt. The Ocelots would get three more goals in the first half from three different players. Dante Davidson pushed the lead to two with help from LaMere. Kellen Larson got the lead to three with help from Maisano and Diego Ayala would get the lead to four with help from LaMere and Larson.

Schoolcraft led 4-0 coming out of the halftime break and got back to scoring quickly. Matheus Barbosa would score in the 50th minute with help from Larson. Gavin Brose would score a minute later with help from LaMere and Larson and Larson would score again in the 55th minute. Just 55 minutes into the game, Schoolcraft led 7-0. Over the last 35 minutes, the Ocelots would net another three goals ( Larson, LaMere and Kyle Jennings). After the full 90 minutes of play, it would the Ocelots coming out victorious with a 10-0 victory.

Schoolcraft had a total of thirty-eight shots in the game, forcing the Lake Michigan keeper to make saves. Kellen Larson led the Ocelots in scoring with three goals. Gavin LaMere would net two of his own and Kyle Jennings, Diego Ayala, Gavin Brose, Dante Davidson, and Matheus Barbosa would pitch in for one a piece. Along with leading the team in goals, Larson would also tie LaMere in the team lead for assists with four. Guilherme Gouvea, Tommy Mittelstadt, Nate Boos, Gavin Brose, and Billy Bingham all would tack on a helper.

Schoolcraft is back in action on Saturday (September 23) as they travel to Marian University's Ancilla (2-3-1, 1-2-1).
