#11 Ocelots Push Streak to 6 Games

LIVONIA, Mi – The #11 Schoolcraft men's soccer team extended their winning streak to six games with an 11-1 victory over Marian University's Ancilla College.

The first half started out good for the Ocelots as they would possess the ball for a good portion of the first five minutes. However, Ancilla would get on the board first to take the 1-0 lead in the 5th minute. It would not take long, five minutes, for the Ocelots to tie the game. Ethan Walker would score the first goal of the game when Gavin Brose would set him up for the finish. The scored would remain knotted a one a side until the 25th minute when Brose would put the Ocelots up ahead for good teaming up with Abed Swidan and Kellen Larson. The Brose goal would set up a chain reaction for the Ocelots as they would score two more goals (Dante Davidson and Kellen Larson) over the next four minutes of play to push the score to 4-1 going into the half.

Schoolcraft would come out of the break energized as the score would quickly turn just as the weather. In the first fifteen minutes of play in the second half, Schoolcraft's lead would improve from 4-1 to 10-1. The goal scorers for the Ocelots would be Broe (47th minute), Connor Shennan (49th minute), Dante Davidson (50th and 53rd minute), and Tommy Mittelstadt (56th and 60th minute). Brose would finish his hat trick and Schoolcraft's scoring in the 70th minute as his goal would push the lead to ten.

Vedad Vila would start the game and earn the win in net for the Ocelots. The goal in the first half for the Chargers would be the only shot Vila would see in the first half. Brenden Ware would come on for the second half to face one shot and make one save.

#11 Schoolcraft goes on the road on Friday (Sept. 29) to face off against #20 Cuyahoga Community College. The Ocelots will be looking for their second ranked road victory of the year.
