#7 Ocelots Reach 100 Goals in Win

BENTON HARBOR, Mi- The 7^th ranked Ocelots returned to the road on Wednesday to face off against an MCCAA opponent in Lake Michigan College and would pass a landmark total.

A trend that we have seen lately, and continued to see in this game, is goals early and often for the Ocelots. That would be no different in this game as Tommy Mittelstadt would get Schoolcraft on the board in the 5^th minute. Just six minutes later, the 11^th minute, Mittelstadt would score again to get the lead to 2-0 just eleven minutes into the game. In the 16^th minute, Mittelstadt would score again to put Schoolcraft up 4-0, Dante Davidson scored in the 14^th minute. This Mittelstadt goal would complete his hat-trick in only sixteen minutes. Schoolcraft would score three more goals in the first half, Marco Pomponio (2) and Mohanad Alasad, to lead 7-0 after forty-five minutes.

History would be made quickly for the Ocelots as in the 48^th minute, Davidson's second goal of the game would be the goal that would mark the 100^th goal of the season for the Ocelots. This mark has never previously been hit in program history. The rest of the half would see Davidson score two more goals, Mittelstadt again, Gavin Lamere once, Pomponio again, Abdulrahman Ahmed twice, Guilherme Gouvea once, Ahmed Hssain once and Abed Swidan once. After 90 minutes of play, Schoolcraft would come out victorious by a score of 18-0, matching the program record they set earlier in the season against Ancilla.

In the net we saw Brenden Ware get the start and the win, recording thirty minutes of play with Vedad Vila coming in to close out the rest of the game. Neither goalie would see a shot on goal.

The 7^th ranked Ocelots return to the field on Saturday (October 7) when they travel to square off against the Jackson Jets. The Ocelots knocked off Jackson by a score of 3-0 last time they played on August 29.
