Softball returns from Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach, SC- The Schoolcraft softball team completed their 8 game spring training in North Myrtle Beach last week (Feb. 27-Mar. 3). The trip saw the Ocelots come back with a 2-6 record. Despite the record, there were a lot of positives coming out of the week. 

On the offensive side, there were a good mix of freshman and sophomore's at the top of the leaderboards. Freshman #2 Macy Collett lead the Ocelot offense, hitting .407 (11-27) with a triple. Collett also swiped 7 bases and scored 7 runs for the Ocelots. Sophomore #15 Kathryn Koszykowski hit .286 for the week. Koszykowski went 6-22 with 5 doubles to equal a .524 slugging percentage, she had 1 RBI on the week and scored 3 runs for the Ocelots. Other Ocelots that hit over .260 were, #6 Julia Cavazos, #8 Emily Robinson, #14 Madelyn Latham, #4 Sarah Collins, #3 Shannon Mosesso, and #12 Paisley Stevens.

Schoolcraft returns to the diamond when they start conference play against Mott Community College on March 21. The doubleheader against Mott will start at 3:00PM. All of Schoolcraft's home games are played at Ward Church. The address for Ward Church is 40000 Six Mile Rd, Northville Township, 48168.
