Seven Ocelots Receive Honors

Earlier today, the MCCAA and the NJCAA Region 12 announced their post-season awards for the 2023 softball season. Seven members of the Schoolcraft softball team took home honors.

Bridget Bogden: All-Region, All-MCCAA, 1st Team Eastern-Conference

          Bridget had a wonderful year for the Ocelots. The sophomore from Warren Mott High School had a team high .461 average and tied the team lead with 5 home runs. Bogden was also able to drive in 30 runs on the year, another team high, all to go along with her 1.275 OPS.

Sarah Collins: 2nd Team Eastern-Conference, Eastern-Conference All-Freshman

          Sarah Collins, the freshman catcher from Gabriel Richard High School, took home some honors for her wonderful season. Collins tied Bogden with 5 home runs on the year. Sarah had a .351 average and drove in 19 runs. 

Macy Collett: 2nd Team Eastern-Conference, Eastern-Conference All-Freshman

          Macy Collett was able to join Collins on the All-Freshman team, also on 2nd Team All Eastern-Conference. Collett hit .420 on the season and led the team with 24 total stolen bases. 

Paisley Stevens: Eastern-Conference Honorable Mention

          Paisley Stevens, an outfielder from Lake Orion High School, had a good year at the plate in her second season as an Ocelot. Paisley hit .379 in 22 games and had 11 runs scored. 

Natalie Conn: Eastern-Conference Honorable Mention

          Natalie Conn, from nearby Livonia Stevenson High School, slugged 2 home runs on the year en route to a .325 average and 19 RBI.

Shannon Mosesso: Eastern-Conference Honorable Mention

          Shannon Mosesso, a freshman pitcher from Lake Orion High School, was the leader on the mound for the Ocelots. Mosesso tallied 98 IP spread over 21 appearances and 15 starts.  Mosesso saved arguably her best start for the end, going 6.1 IP with 1 ER in the win over Macomb. 

Kathryn Koszykowski: Eastern-Conference Honorable Mention

          Kathryn Koszykowski, a sophomore utility from New Boston Huron High School, rounded out her Ocelot career on a solid note at the plate. Koszykowski hit .320 with 10 RBI and 10 extra base hits.
