Offensive Explosion in Game 2 Leads to a DH Split

WARREN, MI – The Ocelots were finally able to get back on the field due to a slew of postponements. Schoolcraft was on the road at Macomb Community College for a MCCAA DH against the Monarchs.

Game 1 – Not much was able to get going for Schoolcraft in game 1. The Ocelots would fall to the Monarchs by a score of 8-0. Alexa Swiatkowski got the start in the circle for Schoolcraft, going 5 innings and striking out 5.

Game 2 – Things would go better for the Ocelots in game 2. The offense would get clicking early for Schoolcraft, scoring 4 runs in the top of the 1st. Throughout the game, the Ocelots would score at least 1 run in every inning on their way to 15 runs. Olivia Mikowski, Sydney Scoggins, Camryn Keough, and Madison Gray, who homered in the game, would each register 3 hits. In 4 innings out of the bullpen, Amber Burzlaff would allow just 2 runs to ensure an Ocelot victory. The 4 runs scored in the 7th inning would cap off a 15-6 win for Schoolcraft.

The Ocelots hit the road again tomorrow, April 7th. Schoolcraft is off to Oakland Community College's Highland Park campus to face off against the Raiders. The twin-bill is slated to start at 1:00PM.
