Offense Awakes In 2nd Game to Earn a Split

NORTHVILLE, MI – Due to some postponements with weather related issues, the Ocelots and Hawks squared off in an MCCAA doubleheader.

Game 1 – Game 1 got off to a quick start for the Hawks. With scoring 3 runs in the first 2 innings of the game, Henry Ford took a quick hold on the game and Schoolcraft would be unable to dig out of the early hole. With only 3 hits in the game and Henry Ford not letting up, Schoolcraft would fall by a score of 7-1. Savina Olada and Olivia Mikowski (2), would be the Ocelots in the hit column.

Game 2 – The bats would seemingly come alive in the 2nd half of the doubleheader. On their way to 10 hits, Schoolcraft would muster 6 runs on their way to a 6-2 victory. Leading the offense would be Vanessa White who would go 3-4 including 2 doubles. Others in the hit column would be Savina Olada (1), Sydney Scoggins (2), Olivia Mikowski (1), Camryn Keough (1), and Raina Bonus (2). Leading the Ocelots in the circle would be Raina Bonus who would go all 7 innings, allowing just 2 runs and strike out 5 Hawks.

Due to the forecasted weather, the Ocelots scheduled game on Thursday has been moved until Sunday, April 14. The next scheduled game for Schoolcraft is on Frida, April 12, at home against the Skippers from SC4.
