NORTHVILLE, MI – The Ocelots would play host to the MCCAA Eastern Division leading Mott Bears for a divisional doubleheader.
Game 1 – Things would get rolling early for Schoolcraft. With scoring 5 total runs in the first 2 innings, the Ocelots found themselves leading 5-1 after 2 innings. The offense from both sides would continue from there. Leading 8-3 going into the top of the 5th, Schoolcraft would surrender 9 runs over the next 2 innings on their way to a 12-9 defeat. With 17 total hits, Schoolcraft would have 5 players, Olivia Mikowski, Vanessa White, Madison Gray, Camryn Keough and Raina Bonus, each register 3 hits. Also registering hits would be Sarah Collins and Macy Collett.
Game 2 - The offense for Schoolcraft would not slow down in the 2nd game. Earning 13 hits, Schoolcraft would plate 12 runs on their way to a mercy rule win. Hits would be evenly spread out with 10 out of 11 Ocelots with an at-bat would register a hit. Mikowski, Gray and Collett would pave the way with 2 each. Schoolcraft would score in all but 2 innings, capitalizing on 8 Mott errors.
Schoolcraft returns to the diamond on Monday, April 15, hosting St. Clair County Community College. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00PM at Mission Fields.
