Ocelots Earn Sweep With First Place Bears

FLINT, MI – Schoolcraft was in Flint to take on the MCCAA Eastern Division leaders, the Mott Bears.

Game 1 – Things would be quiet for the Ocelot offense until the 4^th inning. In the 4^th inning, Schoolcraft would explode for a total of 7 runs, jumping into a 703 lead after 4 innings. The 2 runs Schoolcraft would score in the top of the 7^th would prove to be the difference maker as Mott would score 3 in the bottom of the 7^th for Schoolcraft to come out with a 9-7 victory. 10 hits would be registered by Schoolcraft with 4 of them coming from Macy Collett. Hailey McCleary would also tack on 3 hits herself. Raina Bonus got the win in the circle for Schoolcraft, her 4^th win of the year.

Game 2 – Schoolcraft would jump out to a 3-0 lead in the fist inning, but like Schoolcraft in the first game, Mott would have a big inning. In the 3^rd inning, Mott would flip the momentum, posting a 6 spot in the inning. Schoolcraft would try to get it back, scoring 2 in the 4^th, but Mott would get those 2 back in the bottom half. Mott would earn a split in the DH with a 10-6 victory over the Ocelots. Olivia Mikowski, Madison Gray and McCleary would each have 2 hits in the game.

Schoolcraft is back in action on Friday, at home, squaring off against the Monarch from Macomb. Macomb currently leads the season series 3 games to 1 over Schoolcraft.
