Women go 1-0 in Lynn Conway Classic

Over the weekend, the Schoolcraft Women's Basketball team participated in the Lynn Conway Classic hosted at Delta College. Their game Saturday against Kirtland Community College was canceled. Schoolcraft got back on the court on Sunday, December 11, 2022 and defeated Delta College 62-47 to keep the 7th ranked Ocelots undefeated on the year. #12 Ruby Garner led the Ocelots in points with 13 and fellow starter #24 Makaiya Thomas reached double digits with 11 points of her own. #4 Eve Parrish was 1 point shy of a double-double with her registering 9 points and 12 rebounds for the game. Schoolcraft was able to force 19 turnovers on the game and also held Delta to 26.2% (16-61) shooting for the game. The Ocelots return to the court on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at home against Great Lakes Christian College at 1:00PM with that games being Schoolcraft's teddy bear toss game. Bring in a teddy bear or any stuffed animal to receive free admission to the contest and throw your teddy bear/stuffed animal onto the court when the Ocelots score their first point. Any teddy bear or stuffed animal recieved will be donated to the Children's Hospital.
