#6 Ranked Ocelots Move to 12-0

Over the weekend, the #6 ranked Schoolcraft Women's Basketball team moved to 12-0 and 3-0 in the conference with a 71-58 win over Wayne County Community College. The Ocelots pulled forward in the second quarter, outscoring Wayne County 14-5 in the quarter and going into halftime leading by a score of 33-20. The Wildcats cut into the lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Ocelots 18-11. However, Schoolcraft would get those points back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 27-20. Schoolcraft was led by #24 Makaiya Thomas who had 19 points on the night and also registered 7 rebounds. #23 Samantha Smith was a force in the paint, leading the Ocelots with 16 total rebounds, swatting away a total of 7 shots and also registereing 5 steals. #4 Eve Parrish, #12 Ruby Garner and #35 Taylor Williams all entered double digit points with 12, 15, and 10 respectfully. Schoolcraft looks to move to remain undefeated on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 when they play host to Oakland Community College wiht tip-off at 5:30 PM.
