Ocelots Cruise To 4th Win Of The Year

GRAND RAPIDS, MI- The lady Ocelots traveled to Grand Rapids to face off against the Raiders looking for their 2^nd win in a row.

From the opening tip, this game would prove to be all Ocelots. In the first quarter, Schoolcraft would outscore the Raiders by a score of 24-5. The Ocelot lead was fueled by a 22-0 run to open the game. Grand Rapids would get their first basket with 1:37 left in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the outlook of the game would remain the same. Schoolcraft would score the same amount of points in the second quarter as they did in the first quarter, 24. At the break, the Ocelots would lead the Raiders by a score of 48-13.

Coming out of the half, Grand Rapids would have their best 10 minutes of basketball for the game. The Raiders would put up 15 points in the quarter, but Schoolcraft found a way to outscore the Raiders by 6 points. The fourth quarter was low scoring on both sides. Schoolcraft would score 8 points in the quarter compared to Grand Rapids 7 points. After 40 minutes of play, the Ocelots would win their second game in a row by a score of 77-35.

Demi Rodriguez lead the Ocelots in scoring, assists and rebounds for the game. Rodriguez (18) would be joined by Kyra Lawrence (16) and Sharon Smith (11) as the 3 Ocelots in double figures. Neveah Cable would lead the bench unit with 7 points.

Schoolcraft (4-1) return to action at home on Saturday, December 9, as hey play host to the Spring Arbor JV team. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00PM.
