Schoolcraft Bounces Back In Big Fashion

DETROIT, Mi – The Ocelots women's basketball had a big bounce back win in sight on their trip to Wayne County. After 40 minutes of play, their sights came true with a 77-40 win.

Schoolcraft would have the lead in the game after every quarter thanks to a 16-10 start in the first 10 minutes of the game. The 2nd half would really work in the Ocelots favor. After a 2nd quarter in which each team would score 13 points, Schoolcraft would come out of the locker room and out score the Wildcats 27-11 to break the game open. The 2nd half control would continue with a point differential of 15 in the 4th quarter to cap off the 37-point victory.

Scoring would be dispersed throughout the Ocelot lineup for the duration of the contest. Nothing proves that more than the bench for Schoolcraft outscoring the starters. Erin Young would be the leading scorer for the Ocelots with 14 points on 6-10 shooting. Following Young in double figures would be Sharon Smith, the lone starter in double digits with 11, Demi Rodriguez with 10 and Taylor Williams with 10. Williams would also grab 11 rebounds to cap off her 3rd double double of the season and the 2nd against Wayne.

Schoolcraft returns home on Saturday for their final stretch of the regular season. On Saturday, the Ocelots will host Oakland County Community College at 1:00PM. The game against the Raiders will mark Schoolcraft's "hunger games" game in which any fan that brings a non-perishable or canned food item will receive free admission to the game. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Schoolcraft food pantry.
