Bio

Shay Lewis enters her 4th season as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Schoolcraft College. In her 3 seasons at Schoolcraft, Coach Shay has produced MCCAA All Region, All Conference, All Defensive, MCCAA Player of the week and All Academic players. In 2021-2022, Lewis headed the Ocelots to an Eastern Conference Championship and State Championship Runner up.  In her 4th season, she has led Schoolcraft to a top 10 National Ranking.

Prior to Schoolcraft, Coach Shay was the Director of Basketball Operations for Oakland University, an Assistant Coach at Rochester College and Head Varsity coach at Rochester Adams HS and MI Elite AAU program. She started her career in sports with the WNBA Detroit Shock, followed by several sports management assignments and is currently the Director of Athletics for the city of Detroit Parks & Recreation

Shay Lewis is a graduate of Wayne State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Film and later a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. Coach Shay was also a standout basketball player for the Tartars earning First Team All-GLIAC honors and voted Best Top 25 Women’s Basketball Players in Wayne State University History.
