Women's Soccer Advances in National Tournament

The Schoolcraft Women's Soccer team advanced in the NJCAA Division 2 national tournament on November 15, 2022 defeating Cape Fear Community College (NJCAA D2 #12) with a score of 4-0. The Ocelots offense was led by #3 Ceceilya Mernatti and #8 Katie Ferguson with both of them putting 2 balls each into the back of the net. Ferguson tacked on both of her goals in the first half (17th and 43rd minute) while Mernatti netted both of hers in the second half (50th and 78th minute). The defense made life easy for keeper Mya Sheridan by only giving up 1 shot on goal throughout the contest. The Ocelots look to continue their run in the national tournament today, November 16, 2022, facing off against the #1 overall seed, Holmes Community College.
