#7 Ocelots Push Winning Streak to 6

PLYMOUTH, Ind- The Schoolcraft women's soccer team (10-3-0, 8-1-0) extended their winning streak to six games with their 5-0 victory over Marian University's Ancilla.

It was all Schoolcraft in the contest. The Ocelots would jump on the board quickly with Kyra Brandon getting her tenth goal of the year in the sixth minute with help from Bri Waranauckas and Clair Edgerton. Twelve minutes later, Victoria Kebbe would score her first goal in the matter of two minutes and after the nineteenth minute, the Ocelots would lead 3-0. That 3-0 score would hold for the rest of the first half as that would be the score going into halftime. Brandon would assist on both of Kebbe's goals with Anna Oynoian helping on the first goal and Daniela Alvarez helping on the second goal.

It would not take long for the lead to get extended in the second half when Waranauckas would net her first goal of the year with help from Brandon and Samantha Guciardo. In the 88th minute, Elizabeth Kowalsky would get her second goal in as many games with a penalty kick goal.

Schoolcraft was able to create plenty of opportunities all game long. The Ocelots outshot the Chargers by a total of 51-2. Ancilla's keeper would make a total of sixteen saves throughout the game with twelve of them in the second half. Jami Martindale and Fatima El-Zein would split the clean sheet for the day. El-Zein would see the only action in the game as she made two saves in the second half. Martindale would earn her tenth win of the year.

Schoolcraft returns to play on Wednesday (Sept. 27) as they face Ancilla again, this time at the Ocelot Soccer Complex. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30pm.
