#7 Ocelots Earn 13th Straight Win

LIVONIA, Mi – The #7 ranked Schoolcraft Ocelots extended their winning streak to 13 games with a 7-2 win over Owens Community College.

Things got started for the Ocelots in the 11^th minute. Bella Elliott would put the Ocelots on the board with help from Samantha Guciardo. Just eleven minutes later Ashley Hughes would get her first of three goals in the game with Victoria Kebbe and Elizabeth Kowalsky picking up assists. Hughes would get her second goal of the game in the 25^th minute that would extend the Ocelot lead to three goals which is what the lead at half would be.

Hughes would complete her hat-trick early in the second half, the 47^th minute, with Guciardo picking up her third assist of the game and Kebbe's second assist of the game. Paige Stephens would tack on Schoolcraft's fifth goal of the game in the 59^th minute. Owen's would get the next two goals before Grace Ferraro (86^th minute) and Ileanne Zuniga (90^th minute) would wrap up the scoring in what would be a 7-2 Ocelot victory.

Jami Martindale got the start in net and would play the first half but see zero shots. Fatima El-Zein would come on for the second half and make two saves while giving up two goals, one on a penalty kick.

The seventh ranked Ocelots return to the pitch on Wednesday (October 18) as they travel to NJCAA D3 #1 ranked team in Delta College. If the Ocelots pull off a victory, they will earn a share of the MCCAA title with Delta. Kickoff is slated for 4:00PM in Saginaw.
